Solid stringers and hull.
The bunks are stepped for the stepped hull. Must float on, float off the trailer. There's a trick to it but once you've done it once it's super easy to launch and retrieve.
Since rebuild in 2015 only been in fresh water. Winterized 2023 season. Took out on May 11th 2024 and a turn key and go.
Only seen salt water a couple of times in her life but not since refreshing the motor and outdrive.
It's just time to let her go to a new owner.
If you want to go faster, the 502 is Supercharger, Whipple or ProCharger ready. It already has right stuff unlike most other big or small block engines. Just bolt on and go.... G O.... F-A-S-T-E-R. A labbed prop should get a couple more mph. She’s already a beast and when you put the hammer down, the prop bites hard and she’ll throw ya back in your seat.
This is one of very few 22ZX DONZI'S built with the Mercruiser 502 big block and the Bravo one. VERY RARE OPTION. Originally factory 415 hp. In the 16 years I've owned her I have only seen 2 other 22ZXs from any years with the 502 cu in EFI MPI Mercruiser and Bravo One option. One in Pennsylvania the other in Texas but those were only seen in 2007. Donzi quit making the 22ZX with the big block annd went with the 350 and top speed was around 65mph. Donzi now only makes the 22 classic.
If you wanna go fast, need something easy to trailer around town or across the mountains this is the boat for you. Prior performance boat experience is recommended due to the speed of this boat..

If it doesn’t look fast, doesn’t sound fast… it probably ain’t fast. This is fast!!! Loud!!! The captains call will also satisfy most neighbors coming into a quiet port too.

Comes with all the extra stuff I’ve collected over the years for her. Extra lines, fenders, anchors, all the cleaners, polishing, protectant, spring lines, brush, organizing tubs, small umbrellas, life jackets, midship fender buttons I haven’t installed or have extra of. I have an NOS OEM tachometer.
The fuel sender already installed is a doughnut type and all stainless.
